Deepa Kiran has a natural flair for playing with language, engaging anyone (individual or group) with her communication (written/ spoken/ live/recorded) and bringing a subject alive. Deepa has a background in English language teaching, radio, soft skills training, freelance writing, Indian classical dance and dance therapy. She holds a Master fo Arts in English Literature from the University of Hyderabad, and PGCTE (Post Graduate certificate in Teaching of English) from EFLU (English and Foriegn Languages University). She brings in her knowledge of the literary and other arts every time she reaches out to the world through storytelling, writing, compeering or voice-overs. While precision and clarity in communication is important to her, weaving out the same with creativity holds immense significance.
Deepa is presently an Education Coach with the Xseed delivery team at Idiscoveri and provides consultancy service as a Storyteller.
She is passionate about children, childhood and the beautiful journey called life and looks forward to enriching this journey both for herself and others along the way. She loves working with different kinds of people and finds working with children extremely energizing! Breaking into little rhythms, melodies, and movements or popping in humour comes easily to her thus weaving fun and laughter into her engaging sessions.
Deepa has been telling stories all her life and continues to do so with passion. The Hindu newspaper and in recent times its children’s edition Young World has some of her writings published. She has compeered for corporate events (conferences, seminars, annual functions) at the national and international level. Deepa also lends her voice for documentaries for UGC, NGOs, and corporates
